His love for electronic music dates back to the late eighties when ‘New Beat’ was born in Belgium. When this particular style was on its return, he discovered house music in 1991 trough a local radio show called “Beat Express”. As a kid he collected their tapes and tried to mix some songs with a couple of tape decks. When he started purchasing vinyl on a weekly base in ’97, DJ Reality got offered a place in the line up of a few local parties. One year after that he had his very first monthly residency in small club ‘The Dance Cave’

In 2001 he seized the opportunity to warm up a number of fridays at the Faktory (St.Kat-Waver). That summer he was offered his own weekly show on the most popular Belgian webradio, LazerHotHits.com. Today he still does mixes for them, so make sure to tune in!

In 2002 he managed to get another residency in a Dutch club named De Moeite. The sound was house/lounge combined with a bit progressive house. He played in De Moeite every Friday night and from time to time on Sundays. The club has class DJs such as Quinten De Rozario, Marko, Erick E, Syben Ray, Benny Rodrigruez,... in its hall of fame.

That summer he played at his first parade: the ‘Limburg Love Parade’ in Geleen (Netherlands) for about 20.000 party people.
During spring 2003, he folded his wings at club ‘Real’ in his home city Tongeren. Real is a landmark in the Belgian club scene that has a long history. It is one of the better Belgian clubs and welcomed many international guest-DJs, like Adam Beyer, Anthony Pappa, CP, Claude Young, Darren Price, Gayle San, Trevor Rocklife, Jack de Marseille, Oscar Mulero, Funk Dvoid, Sister Bliss, Umek...

The most important highlight of his career is without the slightest doubt the City Parade 2003. Not less than 120.000 people partied in the streets of Ghent. In 2004 he was asked again and the parade was bigger then ever: 200.000 people !

Early 2005 his residency in Club Real ended after 2 years because the management unfortunatly decided to follow the trend in Belgian clubscene, cheesy commercial music. Nowadays he plays guest-sets on several party’s in Belgium, Holland & Germany. Party’s where he did the warm-up or afters for names like Anthony Pappa, Rene Amesz, Matthew Dekay, Kenny Hawkes, Peter Novak and many others.

Recently he made his first steps in the world of producing, together with his partner in crime Dimitri Chantzis. Currently their working hard in their studio’s to release their first records early 2010.

DJ Realitys sound is a combination of (deep)house, techno, techhouse & progressive house. People know him as a trendsetter in quality music!
